Description

Scarpetta is a Friuli, Italy-inspired wine label run by the founders of Frasca Food & Wine in Boulder. When designing their business cards, we used the Scarpetta wine labels as a starting point, wanting to capture both their simplicity and earthiness—especially the use of the woodcut pig. We developed the “split pig” idea to keep the front of the card nice and clean, employing the back side for the pertinent contact information, where the shaping of the text nests nicely opposite the pig ‘s backside.
