Sometimes our favorite part of an invitation suite isn’t the actual invitation, but some other rando piece that just ties the whole room together. That was the case with Fili & Kay-Kay’s invites. They told us that, as part of the RSVP, they wanted to solicit songs from their guests to use for the reception party playlist. Because of our enduring love for most things analog, we suggested designing the RSVP as a “J-Card,” the multi-folded insert that you’ll find inside cassette tape cases. They went for it, and so did we, and the only regret we have now is that we didn’t get to see all the returned cards… nor did we hear the music those cards suggested.
